■ Lamp spectrum
Short-arc metal-halide lamps provide a spectrum close to that of sunlight, so they can reproduce truer white, blue and green colors than halogen lamps. The spectrum produced is concentrated in the visible range, so the total light flux obtained is higher than that of halogen or xenon lamps of the same power.

Safety is considered by using temperature protection and other means to prevent overheating of the device.
